Bandit GSF1200 1st Gen Adjustable Height Forward Foot Peg Mounting Kit
This unique kit allows you to easily mount a set of forward-mounted footpegs on your bike for more comfort on long rides, and I use similarly designed set of these forward footpeg mounts on my own personal Bandit 1250.
The brackets mount to the lower mid threaded mounts on each side of the frame that were used on all UK model Bandit 1200's to mount the mid motor mount brackets, which did not come on US 1200 models. The mounts have three different mounting height positions for the pegs which are spaced 12 mm center to center. This allows you to easily adjust the height of the foot pegs for the most comfort depending on how long your legs are.
The foot peg mounting brackets are designed to accept a set of stock rear Bandit 1250 passenger pegs, ball detent mechanisms and pivot pins, which allows the pegs to be quickly folded up when not in use.
All of the pieces in the kit are precision machined out of 6061 T-6 billet aluminum, and the kit comes with detailed easy to follow installation instructions and new high-grade mounting hardware. The mounts come in a durable semi-gloss black powder coat finish. The Bandit 1250 rear passenger pegs, ball detent plates, springs, balls, pivot pins, and C-clips are not included in this kit and must be supplied by the purchaser.
Aftermarket Bandit 1250 rear passenger peg kits that come with the pegs, ball detent plates, springs and balls, and the pivot pins and C-clips can easily be found on eBay for around $24 shipped. The 1250 passenger pegs shown in the pictures are Chinese pegs that I bought off of eBay, and powder coated semi-gloss black. They fit properly into the footpeg mounting brackets just like the OEM pegs do, and the ball detent mechanism works just like the OEM ball detent mechanisms do.
